Memory.
History.
Connection.
I’m Olivia Castetter.
I combine historical research, personal narrative, and advocacy to explore memory, justice, and the stories that shape our lives.
I work at the intersection of memoir and history, where personal testimony and public record meet.
As a memoirist, my writing engages the #MeToo Movement, narrative repair, and the long afterlife of lived experience.
As a historian, I focus on public-facing research that brings overlooked stories into view with a particular focus on children of the Civil Rights Movement, women and children during twentieth century wars, and the history of women’s reproductive rights.
I am interested in what is remembered, what is silenced, and what it takes to voice our stories.
