Guided Journaling

Writing through the Weather

Writing Through the Weather is a guided journaling workshop for anyone who wants to get back onto the page but isn’t sure how to begin or feels stuck once they do.

In this space, writing is not about performance. It’s about access.

Each session offers structured, trauma-informed writing prompts designed to help you move through emotional states rather than around them, empowering you to find the language for what feels heavy, unclear, or just out of reach.

We write through what shows up: resistance, clarity, anger, avoidance, grief, insight, and everything in between.

What to Expect

Each 60-minute session includes:

  • A brief grounding and writing warm-up prompt

  • A guided journaling sequence designed to help you move through your own internal “weather”—the emotional storm clouds that obscure clarity and catharsis

  • Quiet writing time with structured prompts (you are always in control of how deep you go)

  • Optional sharing in a supported, small group, low-pressure virtual setting

  • Closing reflection and carry-forward prompt for continued writing after the session

You do not need to be a “writer” to attend. All you need to have is willingness to write.

The Approach

Writing Through the Weather uses a structured emotional writing framework that helps you explore your internal experience in stages—starting with ease and gradually moving toward deeper insight at your own pace.

Some prompts and the writing that follows will feel light. Others will feel more challenging. You are never expected to go further than what feels manageable to you that day, in that moment.

These sessions are not about reliving or forcing emotion, processing, or release. The goal is to equip you with the structure and empower you with the language and permission to write through what is already present.

Who this is for

This workshop is for you if:

  • You want to write more consistently but feel blocked

  • You process life through writing but don’t know where to start

  • You’re interested in reflective or memoir-based writing

  • You want a structured, supportive space to reconnect with your voice

  • You prefer guided prompts over open-ended journaling alone
